Zandies Design Studio began in February 2018 as a heartfelt hobby. It all started with a simple knife sheath I crafted for my husband, a piece he made during a forging course. That single project ignited a passion for leatherwork that quickly grew into a full-time business, here in Polokwane, Limpopo. My journey as a leather craftsman has been entirely self-taught, built from countless hours of hard work, mistakes, and a dedication fueled by passion. I've poured my blood, sweat, and tears into every design. I'm committed to using only genuine leather, and I take pride in creating rustic and unique pieces, many of which I hand-tool and stitch myself.

As my business evolved, I embraced new technology to expand my creative horizons. I invested in my own laser machine, which opened up an entirely new avenue for the studio. This allowed me to add laser engraving and cutting on leather, wood, acrylic, and glass, and even to make my own templates for my leatherwork. My most recent addition, a 3D printer, has further expanded my capabilities, allowing me to create custom molds and other goods. This evolution from a single craft to a multi-faceted creative space is why the business is now called Zandies Design Studio. It truly is a one-woman show, and everything that leaves my studio is made personally by me, with a great deal of love.
